Aemeath OS is now independent of any distro
As of today, Aemeath OS is now completely independent of any distro.
The Freedesktop SDK provided an excellent starting point for Aemeath OS. However, Freedesktop SDK made some choices that, it turns out, did not quite fit with the vision I had. For that reason, I've been tinkering with a version of Aemeath OS built from scratch for the past month. The results so far has been promising, and I decided to make this the new Aemeath OS base moving forward.
While Aemeath OS is built from scratch, it also imports a lot of components from other projects. The Freedesktop SDK, alongside Linux from Scratch, have been invaluable resources during the tinkering. I still think that Freedesktop SDK is still a good starting point to base a system on. It is just no longer a suitable choice for Aemeath OS at the present.
With a new base, it also enables new possibilities:
x86_64-x3 optimizations. The new Aemeath OS will still come with KDE Plasma, as usual. A new release for Aemeath OS from this new base will be coming very soon.
