Immutable, familiar base
Aemeath OS is based on the Freedesktop SDK project, which also powers the Freedesktop runtime in Flatpak. The base system and applications runs on the same stack! Aemeath OS also does not come with a package manager. Instead, operating system updates are image-based, delivered atomically, and applied after a reboot. Encountered issues in a new update? Simply rollback to the previous version!
Powerful, customizable desktop
Aemeath OS comes with KDE Plasma, a next-generation desktop for Linux. Simple by default but powerful when needed, KDE Plasma works really well with all sorts of applications and games, and is customizable with themes and widgets.
Container-first workflow
Aemeath OS uses Flatpak for installing applications. Aemeath OS also ships with Podman and Toolbx by default, enabling access to development tools and command line applications without touching the base system.
